This rug was inspired by the original star rug, which pulls on traditional Andean weaving techniques and the motif of the 8-pointed star. It uses undyed black and black-walnut-dyed brown Icelandic wool for the warp, and black-walnut-dyed local Icelandic lopi for the weft. All of the yarn was spun at Aurora Spinnery in Berlin VT.
